Sustainable Spring Cleaning

Shop our Spring Collection now!

Many of us have spent a lot more time at home in the last year than we care to admit, and that’s why creating a living space that you love being in is so important! Unfortunately, so many products associated with cleaning are single-use and large producers of waste. Let’s look at how we can reinvent your spring cleaning routine and find sustainable ways to dust, declutter, and clean your home.

1. UNpaper® Towels

UNpaper® Towels are Marley’s signature product and a sustainable must-have all year round. They quickly replace the paper towels in your home and come in a variety of beautiful patterns. Our latest Bright Plaids print is the perfect way to add a little color to your kitchen and bring a little fun to spring cleaning. Whether you accidentally spilled something or are wiping down every counter in your home, UNpaper® Towels are your sustainable cleaning friend. (Picture: Our new Bright Plaids just in time for Spring!)

Review
“I bought my first set of unpaper towels in April 2019 and they have been the most used item in my home. They have definitely lasted everyday use. I would highly recommended them to anyone looking to make the switch from paper to unpaper”

2. Washable Duster

Dusting is an area that we are so accustomed to grabbing disposables for, and it doesn't have to be that way! Our Washable Duster is cute, fun, and attracts dust and dirt like a magnet. We use layers of flannel and fleece to make sure you pick up everything in one go. It's also available in organic cotton fleece (pictured). Then once you've dusted your heart out, remove the fabric top from the wooden handle, and it's ready to go in the wash. The best part is with it only gets better at grabbing dust with every wash.

 3. Washable Sponge

A great everyday cleaning item you can make more sustainable is your sponge! Cheap sponges you find in stores are often made of plastic and destined for the landfill. Our cloth sponges come in 18 different patterns with terry cloth on one side and scrubbing mesh on the other, and they are washable and reusable! Review
“I was so excited to stumble upon these products! Not only are they cute but so  practical. I love the fact that I can use the sponges and toss them in the washing machine instead of the trash. My only upset is that I hadn't found them sooner!!!”

4. Cotton Chenille Cleaning Cloth

This natural fiber multi-purpose cleaning cloth is perfect for a deep cleaning! It has both a softer towel side and a scrubbier woven backside. You can use it for cleaning up crumbs, as a mop attachment, or general dusting and once you’re down, just throw it in the wash.

5. Washable Pail Liner

A Washable Pail Liner is an alternative to disposable plastic bags that every sustainable lover needs in their home. It's great for storing your used reusables like UNpaper® Towels, Cloth Wipes, or cloth diapers until laundry day. They're equipped with a cotton strap to hang it up around your house to help with your Spring cleaning or take it with your camping to pack out your waste. No more trash bags necessary. There is always a creative solution to reducing our waste! (Pictured: Our new Orchid print Washable Pail Liner. Part of our Spring Collection.)

Our Spring Collection is filled with more sustainable alternatives to reinvent your cleaning routine! We're even launching new wood products. These are just a few of our favorites ways to be creative while cleaning and reduce your waste. Share your tips in the comments and tag us on Instagram with your favorite spring cleaning items or Marley's Monsters products. We'd love to see them and share them. Happy Cleaning!
