These tea bags work well.

I have a metal tea steamer, but got these because some lose leaf teas I buy would slip out of the metal mesh and I’d have bits of tea leaves at the bottom of my drink. This works great for herbal or fine teas. No bits of plat escape the fabric and it works well.

I had never seen a zero waste alternative for tea steeping other than those clunky metal infusers with holes too big that always seem to let the leaves escape. Until these. These teabags are fantastic! They steep a beautiful cup of tea and don’t let any leaves escape.

These tea bags have worked so well as a replacement to metal mesh ones that we had been using for loose leaf tea. The metal ones would release tea through the gap in the center where they met and/or be awkward to get in and out of thermoses depending on size (since they were solid). These tea bags mimic single use ones perfectly with the added bonus of being reusable!! Just make sure your entire family knows not to mistake them for disposable so none are thrown out!

This is a product that I didn't know I'd want to use so much. I already had a silicone tea cozy that I've been using for years, but I would always get little bits left in the bottom after steeping. These tea bags allow me to get even more tea out by squeezing them at the end and present a completely mess-free cup of tea. Although the directions say to just rinse in water, I have to boil mine each and every time because I use very staining teas (herbal and houjicha) where just rinsing doesn't get the colour transfer out completely from steeping it. The smaller ones are perfect for less tea (around a teaspoon), while for the larger one a tablespoon fits best. It can be a bit difficult to get the tea out when you flip it inside out, and it's harder to clean than my silicone one, but I highly recommend it. Very well made. The extra effort is worth it to get mess-free tea.

I bought these as a tea set I gave my husband for Christmas. He doesn't drink coffee but absolutely loves tea.

He looked at me like I was crazy but the more he uses them the more he loves them and is happy I got them for him.
