Multiple layers of flannel fabric strips (that might otherwise go into the waste stream) are felted together to create a new, absorbent fabric called Scrap Felt. This unique upcycled fabric is then cut and sewn into Placemats / Drying Mats for a truly zero waste addition to your home.
Each Scrap Felt item is unique, versatile and totally upcycled. This truly multi-purpose Placemat / Drying Mat absorbs liquid and creates a protective barrier for surfaces.

My grandchild loved the Christmas placemat a couple years ago and loves the Halloween placemat just as much.
I love them. Washable (I DO machine wash, but hang dry) and they resist food and stains so far. The texture is nice. Need a little occasional trimming of threads because, well they’re felted. They don’t feel too precious to use but look nice enough for all occasions.

I LOVE these felt mats! I have two for place mats, two for dish drying, and I am now buying more for a desk (under laptop) mat & I want to get some for my dogs bowls too!! they are AMAZING.
This has become my favorite dish drying mat. The cheerful colors brighten up my countertop. It's big enough for a typical load of hand-washables and small enough to drape over my kitchen towel rack when not in use to dry out. Love it.
